In a rare Nationwide Series appearance, reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champ Jimmie Johnson will drive the No. 7 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports at Watkins Glen on August 13. The car promotes the launch of Johnson's new racing game "Jimmie Johnson's Anything With An Engine". The over-the-top, combat racing game was designed by Johnson, and inspired by his childhood roots of building things to race from anything that was handy.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Chevrolet Motor Car Company, Jimmie Johnson will run a special one-time only paint scheme at the October race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The No. 48 Lowe's Chevy will take the track in a striking silver paint-out. The official "Chevy 100" logo - accented with the famous golden bowtie - will also take pride of place on the nose of the car.
